It’s almost time! After a fantastic summer season, D1Spects would like to reward these individual players for their hard work this season. Its tough to play a grueling three day weekend schedule, and perform at a high level on championship Sunday–But the best did it. Last year’s D1Spects All-Star Weekend was CRAZY, and this year the event is expected to be even large!

The top players across the globe are coming to Atlanta for a weekend full of fun, and excitement From the Slam Dunk Contest to the Games , D1Spects brings light into All-Star Weekend. Make sure you guys vote for our player of the year, team of the year, and come out and join us. 1. Registration: If you pre-registered online , we will have your uniform pre-packaged for your convenience. You may also register between 8:30- 10a at McEachern HS. If you have any additional players or friends that have been recommendedor have made our list, they may walk up on Friday or Saturday morning.

2. Admission: Admission is $15 per day. Children under 6 are free.

3. Uniform: Please wear your Travel Team/AAUUniform on Saturday.

4. Please note our schedule can change. ALL ACTIVITIES ARE AT the location that the Allstar event will be held!!

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the D1Spects All Star Weekend . Listed below is some important information that will help make your experience more convenient enjoyable:

  1. REGISTRATION: All teams must send a representative (NO PLAYERS) to pick up your tournament package at the gym of your first game.  No coaches’ passes will be issued at any other gym. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE GYM WITH OUT YOUR CREDENTIALS. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY!!!
  2. ROSTERS: We will issue preprinted score sheets for your convenience after the roster is turned in. No additions can be made to the roster once it is submitted.
  3. GAME BALLS:The home team will provide game balls for game play only. You may bring your own balls to warm up with.
  4. SCHEDULE: Schedule will be posted on the D1spects website. Please do not call about the schedule. We will email you once it is completed.
  5. CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKETS: TBD
  6. AWARDS:Trophies will be issued for Gold and Silver Bracket Champions and Runner Ups.  T-shirts will be given to players and coaches for Champions and Runner-Ups in the Gold Division Only.
  7. COACHES ATTIRE: Coaches must wear collard coaches’ shirts or team t-shirts displaying team name or logo. Shorts are acceptable. NO FLIP FLOPS.
  8. GAME TIME: GAME TIME is GAME TIME! A 15-minute grace period will be given to tardy teams. Late teams will be penalized 1-point for every minute late. Game clock will become a running clock should the game start 15-minutes late.

DAILY ADMISSION

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday – $10 each day
  • Children Under 6 Free
  • Coaches will be given three (3) free entry wrist bands at registration. Coaches receiving wrist bands must have their name(s) as a coach on the approved corresponding team roster. Wrist bands and other credentials can only be picked up at gym location of the first game.

8th Grade – High School Divisions

  • Games consist of four (4), 8-minute quarters
  • Game clock only stops on one-and-ones on 7 fouls and time-outs
  • 5 time-outs are allotted per game

6th Grade – 7th Grade Divisions

  • Games consist of four (4), 7-minute quarters
  • Game clock only stops on one-and-ones on 7 fouls and time-outs
  • 5 time-outs are allotted per game

Elementary (1st Grade – 5th Grade) Divisions

  • Games consist of four (4), 6-minute quarters
  • Game clock only stops on one-and-ones on 7 fouls and time-outs
  • 5 time-outs are allotted per game

All Divisions

  • Tournament governs under GHSA Rules
  • Home Team (Top Bracket Team): Must wear a light-colored uniform and sit to the left of the scorer’s table.
  • Visitor Team (Bottom Bracket Team): Must wear a dark-colored uniform and sit to the right of the scorer’s table.
  • Each team will warm up on the end opposite of its bench
  • Mercy Rule: A twenty (20) point differentials in the second half of the game will activate the mercy rule. The game clock will continue running until the end of regulation.
  • Two (2) referees will be assigned to each game
  • Fouls: Players foul out of the game on their 5th foul
  • Foul Shots: No one-and-one fouls shots, two (2) foul shots on the 7th foul of each half
  • Overtime:
    • Time: Two (2) minute running clock
    • Game Clock: Stops only on shooting fouls and time-outs
    • Time-Outs: Teams are given one (1) time-out in overtime. Unused time-outs do not carry from regulation
  • Tiebreakers:
    • If two (2) teams are tied, the tiebreaker is decided by the results from head-to-head competition
    • If more than two (2) teams are tied, the tiebreaker is decided by the point differentials of only the teams involved (15-point cap per game). The highest amount receives the highest seed and the second highest will receive the next lower seed, etc.
    • If more than two (2) teams are tied after using the above tiebreaker formula, the point differential of the teams not involved in the tie are added and recalculated (15-point cap per game).
  • A full set of rules will be posted as we get closer to the start date.

GRADE BASED COMPETITION RULES

  • 2ND GRADE– An athlete must be in the 2nd grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2019.
  • 3RD GRADE – An athlete must be in the 3rd grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2019.
  • 4TH GRADE– An athlete must be in the 4th grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2019.
  • 5TH GRADE– An athlete must be in the 5th grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2019.
  • 6TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 6th grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2019.
  • 7TH GRADE– An athlete must be in the 7th grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2019.
  • 8TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 8th grade or below as of October 1, 2018 and can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2019.

HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION RULES

  • 15U/9TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2019. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2018 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2019
  • 16U/10TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2019. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th Grade as of October 1, 2018 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2019
  • 17U/11TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2019. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2018 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2019
  • 19U/12TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 19 on August 31, 20189. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 12th Grade as of October 1, 2018 and who is no older than 20 on August 31, 2019
