Atlanta, Georgia! During games, teams always have that one player who can get them started. Crossing High School’s Alston Humphrey raised his game to another level . Here are this weekend’s best playmakers!
Alston Humphrey Park Crossing High School 2018
Super 100 Evaluation- Humhrey was one of the better play makers on opening day. He has the ability to set his opponents by luring them to sleep, then hitting a quick move. Nice consistent mid range game and has the ability to hit the three point shot off the dribble. Finishes strong inside after contact and is not afraid to get hit. decent speed. Needs to improve basketball IQ, at times will over dribble. Averages 15 ppg and four assist
Bryce Latimerr Stephenson High School 2018
Super 100 Evaluation– Latimerr showcased his ability to score at will and get to the rim. Latimerr has a very quick first step and is very aggressive scoring on offense. Averages 24.4 ppg and 4.1 assist. Great ball handling skills and had no problems beating the press. Has a rhythmic jump shot and some flare to his game. Has the ability to create separation and find shots. However, Latimerr at times will take ill advised shots and commit horrible turnovers. As a undersized guard he will need to improve his basketball IQ. Needs to improve his on ball defense. Latmerr has the ability to play at a high level, but will play to the level of the competition if not pushed. Had trouble finishing plays after contact due to lack of strength.
Lorenzo Ferrell Rutherford High School 2018
Super 100 Evaluation- Ferrell was a big time playmaker for the Georgia Trendsetters. Ferrell showcased he has the ability to slice and dice the defensive lane. He also has the ability to hit the three point shot and finish plays under duress. Ferrell strength is his mid range game, he can beat defenders off the dribble-drive or use the pick and roll. Needs to improve scoring without the basketball
Elijah Ewing Huntington Prep 2018 –
Super 100 Evaluation– Ewing showcased his ability to score off the screen. He recognizes zone defenses and squeezes into the open space. Has a soft touch around the rim. On defense Ewing has great instincts on the weak side. Needs to improve his ball handling and his one one one on ball defense.
Cameron Callahan Dutchtown 2021 –
Super 100 Evaluation- As a freshman, Callahan (middle) is developing into a great wing. What is impressive about Callahan is his ability to play on ball defense. Callahan has good size, speed and understanding of the game. He is not selfish on offense and has good court vision. Makes the right pass but is not afraid to score when needed.
