Atlanta , GA    –  Facebook strikes again… Seems like these days there is a lot of chatter about youth football in Facebook Youth Football Groups.   This chatter quickly becomes bulletin board material and a beast awakens.  Session II had no shortage of surprises.

11U

Tri-County Hurricanes are as good as advertised ,  this team is complete and has more talented at every position. If we had to pick our top 5 , it would probably look like this.

1.  Central Dekalb  – Been together since 6U.  Well coached team.

2. Tri-County Hurricanes –  Pound for pound the most talent on any 11U team

3.  Atlanta Vikings – Coach Tim Wynn …enough said

4.  Welcome All Panthers – Coming of an excellent 2014 campaign should be one to watch-   We will see the in Session #3

5.   Decatur Army –  Mascoe is one the best QB in the game , defense

5.  Tucker Lions –  The Old Ball coach is back in the lab.  We shall see

McDonough Cougars 11U has some quality players and speed on both sides of the ball.  QB Sadir Ryan caught some eyes with his ability to think quick on his feet.  Jamaal Walton #11 and  #4 Devin Miller  provide speed on the edges .They will be a handful during the season.

faviconfaviconfaviconfavicon#6 Chad Garner Jr, QB  Tri-County Hurricanes –   Garner is the little engine that could.  This player is a joy to watch , his footwork and football IQ are uncanny.  We saw Garner make throws that some high school quarterbacks cant make.  He puts you in mind of a young Mike Vick.  The sky is the limit for this young man. #d12watch

faviconfaviconfaviconfavicon#7   Travone Finney  RB , Tri-County Hurricanes – ” Little Beast Mode ” should be his new nick name. Dont let his size fool you.  He has get up an go speed , can get to the corner and turn up.  He uses his line well and picks his holes carefully.  Cant wait to see this young man under the “Friday Night Lights”  #d12watch #gotmygoldenticket

#3  Marques Dunn  ATH  Tri-County Hurricanes  –  Dunn is a game changer , his speed stretches the field ,while his size causes match up problems for smaller DB.  Great hands.  TCH  uses him in several different, capacities all of them lethal. #gotmygoldenticket

#52  Cameron Jenkins LT  Tri-County Hurricanes  Jenkins is a man amongst boys , you can definitely see that his fundamentals are tight. His game is polished and measured.   Cam reminds you of an 11 year old Micheal Oher junior , If he keeps growing , he will be one of the most dominant players in the game.  Lets also give props to #99 Jaquan Mays and the rest of the Hurricane OL. #gotmygoldenticket

faviconfaviconfaviconfavicon#21  Man Man Crayton   RB  Hapeville Hornets –   Crayton is one of the premier backs in the 2024 class. A 4th grader with a Lebron James body in football pads.  Blessed with solid instincts that all quality backs need , Crayton is strong between the tackles and very affect beyond the linebackers.   Crayton is definitely one to watch.  #gotmygoldenticket

faviconfaviconfaviconfaviconfavicon Acworth Warriors Offensive Line   – Don’t get me wrong , Acworth has some very talented players in its arsenal,  QB Johnathan Brown Jr. #1 adds poise and confidence , #12 Xavier Hill , #21 Austin Perry add speed and depth to the running back core ,  #25 Rocky Ruredzo is the muscle at tailback… However , the offense line is the most impressive group.  Anchored by #34 Adrian Forbes and #75 Austin Turpin , Acworth’s O Line is something special to watch,  if you love football you , would appreciate the technique and fundamentals these 8 yr olds use to move there team into position to score.  Everyone is screaming about WAP and Ducks….You better keep an eye out for this group of young men. They are well coached and come prepared for any situation.

GAME OF THE DAY!!!

6U  CASCADE WOLVERINES  vs NEWNAN OUTLAWS  –    Cascade pulls out the victory 14-13 in overtime.
